With effect from 1 July 2026, the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), a new statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower and jointly overseen with the Ministry of Education, has been established, through the merger of SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) and Workforce Singapore Agency (WSG).

SWDA will exercise the functions and powers under the Private Education Act 2009 and its subsidiary legislations. It will also administer the EduTrust Certification Scheme (EduTrust).
